My passion as a tutor lies in helping my students excel in history, English, and literature courses, and I look forward to sharing that enthusiasm with all of my students. As a theater lover with a bachelor's degree from Carnegie Mellon University, I often find myself connecting with my pupils through our mutual appreciation for books, music, television, and other areas of pop culture. Following my undergraduate education, I have worked in the publishing world, and I enjoy bringing my enthusiasm for the written word into my tutoring sessions. As a tutor, I offer my students assistance in a wide range of subjects, including reading, writing, literature, grammar and mechanics, English, American history, European history, social studies, AP Comparative Government and Politics, AP United States History, AP United States Government and Politics, SAT verbal and critical reading preparation, and preparation for various SAT subject tests, including literature, world history, and United States history. I firmly believe in the power of a good education. A solid foundation of learning can expand a student's world and open an enormous range of possibilities for his or her future. When I'm not working or tutoring, I enjoy reading, singing, going to the theater, listening to music, and studying up on history.
